Hiring niche professional talent for critical seasonal ramp

Through solid market knowledge and the rapid assignment of a dedicated team, a customized direct sourcing solution delivered the talent our client needed for their busy season.

Challenge

Each year, this leading tax preparation organization assembles a team of talented tax experts to deliver on their highly technical and web-based service model. Without these customer-focused, tech-savvy tax professionals, this business would not meet its revenue and client acquisition goals for the year.

Solution

Wilson assembled an end-to-end solution with a dedicated sourcing team aligned to act as an extension of the existing consultant care team. This was arranged to meet the one-month turnaround needed and create integrated processes that were repeatable yet created a positive candidate experience. Implementing an enhanced candidate profile and rigorous evaluation process helped the process to select top-tier talent, which ensured high offer and retention rates.

Additionally, our team managed a wide span of tasks, including monitoring and managing contractor performance, answering employer questions from workers, managing timesheets and payroll files, onboarding and offboarding. And to ensure efficiency and that goals were met as part of the integrated solution, Wilson’s team handled all compliance and performance management of the employees. With these tools, the team submitted its initial candidates ahead of the timeline while providing the highest levels of engagement with each candidate.

Results

Wilson delivered, in a single month, a customized solution to onboard the critical niche tax hires needed for this season's ramp. They exceeded the combined averages of all domain partners across contact resolution (4% increase) and net promoter score (9% increase), and the client credited our communication, agility, and exceptional client service to the success achieved.

The team was also able to:
