Total beverage company prospers through recruitment changes

With local market expertise and a refined process, Wilson delivered quality talent on time and with excellent customer service, which mitigated change management concerns for the client.

Challenge

As part of this client’s changing recruitment requirements and market demands, this global beverage company needed help hiring contingent talent with a focus on Quebec-specific hiring requirements. They were seeking a partner that could deliver high-quality bilingual Merchandisers to support their business and an enhanced level of customer service, as they needed alternative options from their incumbent supplier and wanted to minimize any disruption due to change management and bringing on a new partner.

Solution

To ensure a seamless transition, the Wilson team worked closely with this client to design processes that would support their need for high-quality talent while making the program easy for the client’s internal stakeholders to operate. Wilson assembled an expert recruitment team, configured candidate profiles that matched top performers, and streamlined the onboarding process to bring the talent on more efficiently. Through this approach, Wilson was able to deliver on the client's needs while optimizing the candidate experience. Additional optimization strategies post-launch included creating a referral program and localized marketing efforts to be present in the communities in which the ideal talent interacted.

Results

Wilson has partnered with this client since 2019 in differing capacities for both contract and permanent requisitions across all job functions and geographies. Due to the team’s historical ability to deliver exceptional results while continuing to evolve and bring new ideas to improve, the client chose Wilson to take on this Merchandiser recruitment program. This ranged from adjusting recruitment strategies to reflect market demands and changed employment laws, implementing solutions to enhance oversight of this remote workforce with route optimization and time in unit. 

Through this recruitment effort for Merchandisers, the team:  

  • Reduced the time to onboard by 47% through the redesign of current client processes
  • Scored above goal on candidate and hiring manager satisfaction surveys, with a 90% net promoter score (NPS) rating from hiring managers and an 80% NPS rating from candidates
  • Created in-depth profiles and detailed market analysis to deliver a talent pool of nearly 5,000 and deliver 572 Merchandising hires since the program launch
