Organizations can no longer hold out for tech talent with the university degrees and years on the job that might have been considered table stakes in recent years, according to WilsonHCG’s COO Kim Pope.
She made this comment when speaking to reporters from CIO about hiring trends in the IT sector.
During the interview, Pope said relying solely on education and experience is going by the wayside, due in part to, declining birth rates, aging populations, drops in college enrollment and accelerating skills requirements.
Instead, she recommended a more holistic approach to talent that focuses on skills and core competencies.
