This approach is more inclusive than traditional hiring methods because it focuses on the key skills needed, rather than nice-to-have ones.
She also advocates for more flexibility during the application and interview stages since not all application forms or career sites are accessible to those with visual impairments or dyslexia, for example.
Organisations should offer multiple opportunities for applicants to demonstrate why they are right for the job, including pre-recorded video interviews and one-to-one phone calls, as this helps provide unbiased, accessible journeys.
