Computer Weekly: Upskilling and reskilling internal tech talent

One of the most effective means of countering any potential employee exodus is to focus on upskilling, cross-skilling and reskilling.

That’s according to WilsonHCG’s managing director, Janine Chidlow, who recently spoke to reporters from Computer Weekly about developing internal tech talent.

"All the talk among organisations these days is about moving to become a skills-based organisation," she said.

People are only at the start of the journey, but I predict we’ll see a lot more focus on learning and development over the next few years – because organisations will have to. If they just pay lip service to it, it’ll reflect in their attraction and retention rates.”
