Janine Chidlow, managing director at WilsonHCG, spoke to journalists at Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) about the UK’s latest data from the Office for National Statistics.
Chidlow mentioned the 14.7% year-on-year drop for temporary employees in the UK suggested “business confidence has shifted slightly, with employers now investing in increasing their permanent headcount.”
She added this rise followed a period of depending on temporary resources due to economic uncertainty towards the end of last year.
